The 5 Ingredients For
Happiness and Fulfillment
“A Relationship Recipe™ is a recipe that I’ve developed throughout my life, especially over the last 20 years as a restaurateur, to create, encourage and strengthen the bonds between friends, colleagues, family and loved ones using food and time spent around the table together. My Relationship Recipes™ inspirations are collected from many prominent chefs and resources around the globe - focused not solely on the food itself, but on building our connections with those around us.”

1. Share and Prepare
Involve your family, friends, work buddies and significant others! Cooking together is a great recipe for connecting. Creating a tasty meal with your family, partner or friend is a loving and sensual experience, since cooking heightens all of the senses. Whether it’s a Monday or Sunday dinner, close the computer, turn off the TV, and take time to actually be together around the table. Everyone can do something to contribute – even setting the table. Remember...collaboration cultivates connection!
2. Feeding People is a way of Loving Them
Start out with recipes that you enjoy cooking and that your loved ones enjoy eating. You know that everyone looks forward to a good meal and that is what nurtures relationships. Prepare a tried and true recipe that will grab their attention (and even stop them from texting) long enough to bring them to the table. (Hint, hint - you can always try one of my favorite Relationship Recipes™ and watch them put down those cell phones!)
3. Have a Foodie Adventure Shopping Spree
Check out new and exciting recipes and food ingredients together. It’s great to plan ahead – discussing the next meal can be the table talk for the day that they can look forward to! Gather them up for a food shopping experience! Let each one pick out their favorites at the store or venture to new markets. Explore ethnic cuisine and bodegas to learn about exotic ingredients and try new recipes.
4. Escape What You Know
What’s new and hot in the restaurant world? Fabulous finds can be suited to everyone’s budget and for every occasion. Explore into new neighborhoods… and don’t forget - life around the table is a feeling that can be experienced anywhere - from your kitchen, to a food truck, to a 5-star restaurant.
5. Romance is for Everyone!
A romantic dinner for two at home is still the perfect way to really get to know each other, re-kindle the fires and cozy up, without the interfering distractions of going out. Men (by nature) love food, and women (instinctively) love to nurture, so when you combine the two—you’ve got the perfect Relationship Recipe™! Don’t leave out your BFF’s…they love to be nurtured too.
